Wedgewood Marina - Boat Ramp
News Update: New Ramp Now Open
The BLPOA will try to provide useful information about important issues that arise relating to the greater enjoyment and betterment of Boshkung Lake.
One such issue was the closure of the boat ramp at Wedgewood Marina at the end of Twelve Mile Lake on June 1st, 2024.
Based on recent discussions with one of the new owners of the former Wedgewood Marina property, we understand that a new boat ramp, with gas and new docks, is now open!

Sample Boat Ramp Letter
This is an important issue, that we all need to act on.
1. It's your opportunity to be heard, so please consider sending in the attached letter, by email to all recipients that are listed (at the email addresses noted) and, if possible, by regular mail at the address noted.
2. All members of the Boshkung Lake Property Owners' Association, as well as their family members, friends and guests, are encouraged to send in their own letters. If we're going to make a difference, we need as many people as possible speaking out and making sure their voices are heard!
3. The Sample Letter attached is for your help in preparing your own letter, so add anything else or revise it anyway you'd like.
4. When sending in your letter, don't forget to remove or change the heading note at the beginning and to add your name, email and contact information at the end.
5. Please remember that we’re all on the same side on this issue, so remember to be kind and respectful at all times when sending in your letter.
Please support our efforts to upgrade Hwy 118 boat ramp or find another solution for our three-lake chain.

Joint Letter to AH and MH Councils
Monday, April 22nd, 2024
Please find a copy of a joint letter sent today to the Township Councils of both Algonquin Highlands and Minden Hills concerning the removal of the boat ramp currently in place at Wedgewood Marina.
Over 800 property owners are affected and it may leave many with NO WAY to remove their boats in the fall.
Boshkung Lake Property Owners Association (BLPOA) and Twelve Mile Little Boshkung Lakes (TMLBLA) are pursuing an initiative to find other solutions to this issue.
We anticipate that both Algonquin Highlands’ and Minden Hills’ Councils will work together to solve this serious dilemma.
